Stafford Lions Club brought the community together yesterday for a fantastic health event at Stafford Rangers, where 260 men took advantage of free PSA blood tests to help detect potential prostate-related issues.
Thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts of Stafford Lions Club U.K., these vital tests were provided completely free of charge. Many attendees were amazed by how quick and easy the process was, with lots saying they were done and dusted in just five minutes!
One participant, Adam, praised the smooth experience, saying:
“I arrived at 3:07pm and left at 3:12pm. Unbelievable quick and simple process, thank you.”
Lion President Dave Lewis proudly led the way by receiving the very first test of the day, setting a positive tone for the busy session ahead.
Although 300 appointments had been booked, around 40 men unfortunately did not attend, meaning some others missed out on the chance for a potentially life-saving check. The Lions hope even more people will take up the opportunity at future events.
In even more good news, just over 24 hours after the event, people have already started receiving their results — showing how efficient and responsive the service has been.
